Louth blow as Neary breaks ankle

Louth defender John Neary will miss the Wee County's championship opener with Wicklow on May 11 following confirmation of an ankle break.

Neary was carried off in a club game for St Fechin's at the weekend and county board secretary Pat Toner revealed the worst.

Toner said: "John will definitely miss the Wicklow game and probably a game or two after that as well. It is a blow."
