Offaly star Whelahan ready to return

Millennium man Brian Whelahan may return to the Offaly hurling fold as early as next week, boss Mike McNamara has revealed.

Team of the Century member Whelahan has not played for Offaly since last summer because of Birr's protracted All-Ireland club campaign.
