Galway goals seal heavy-weather win

Galway 3-10 Wexford 1-10

Goals at vital stages set up victory for Galway but they made heavy weather of defeating Wexford in this League game at Pearse Stadium.

The visitors got an early boost when Rory Jacob netted.

David Tierney goaled for the home team to make it 1-3 each and further goals by David Forde and Richard Murray made it 3-5 to 1-6 at the break.

Galway failed to score for 25 minutes of the second half but finished strongly with points by Cathal Moore, Ollie Fahy, Richie Murray and Rory Gantley.
