Rainbow a doubt for Kildare

Anthony Rainbow has emerged as a doubt for Sunday's crucial Div 1B clash between Kildare and Laois in Portlaoise.

The Kildare wing back picked up a dead leg in the Lilywhites' win over Down last time out and suffered another setback in training.

Kildare need a win to have any chance of preserving their Div 1 status while Laois are closing in on a semi-final spot.

Meanwhile, Westmeath boss Luke Dempsey has made three changes for his side's NFL clash

with Louth at Mullingar on Sunday.

Dempsey and his Louth counterpart Paddy Carr are old buddies from their days at Maynooth University and both will be keen to win.

Dempsey has handed James Conroy his full league debut, while former Athlone Town 'keeper Gary Connaughton starts in goal with Derek Heavin at corner back.
