Meath back on track beating Mayo

Meath 1-16, Mayo 0-12

After being run ragged for a period in the first half, Meath got back on track in the National Football League Division 1B clash in Navan to dominate a Mayo side who lost their way.

When Trevor Giles netted three minutes after the start, it was Meath¹s first goal of the campaign and they led by 1-7 to 0-7 at the break.

Giles was outstanding in the second half and Ollie Murphy and Daithi Regan shot some nice points.

Mayo depended too much on Conor Mortimer for scores and in the end it proved costly as Meath ran out easy winners.
