Kilkenny make it unlucky 13 for Clare

Hurler of the year Henry Shefflin hit 1-11 as Kilkenny made it 13 successive wins in league and championship against Clare at Nolan Park today.

In a repeat of last year's All-Ireland final Kilkenny recovered from a six-point first half deficit to lead by 0-1 at the break.

In the second period the Cats stepped on the gas and outscored their opponents by 1-14 to 0-4.

Kilkenny wrap up their first phase of the league campaign with a trip to Dublin next weekend and will be confident of preserving their 100% record.
