Rooney freed up for dual role in Laois
Laois hurling boss Paudie Butler has allowed dual player Darren Rooney to play with the county footballers this weekend.
Laois face Dublin in Div 1A of the NHL but Rooney will instead be on football duty for Mick O'Dwyer's team against Cavan.
That means David Cuddy switches from attack to midfield to claim Rooney's spot while Mark Rooney comes in at centre-forward.
Laois (SH v Dublin): J Lyons; L Mahon, P Cuddy, T Phelan; C Cuddy, P Cuddy, M McEvoy; J Young, D Cuddy; J Phelan, M Rooney, P Mahon; B McCormack, L Tynan, T Fitzgerald.
