An Bord Pleanala has paved the way for the final phase of redevelopment at Croke Park, the GAA's flagship stadium in Dublin.

The planning body rejected an appeal by local residents today and gave the GAA permission to replace the existing Hill 16 terrace and Nally Stand.

The move will make space for an estimated 13,000 spectators.
