Fermanagh beat Meath well

Fermanagh 3-09, Meath 0-12

A rousing second-half by Fermanagh gave them a six-point win over Meath at Brewster Park.

A Stephen Maguire goal midway through the first-half, getting on the end of a heaving ball by Raymond Gallagher, gave the Erne men the lift they needed and in the second-half they added two more goals by corner-forward Ronan McCabe and a thunderbolt effort into the top corner in the closing minutes by Gallagher.

Martin McGrath was inspirational in midfield for the Fermanagh boys in a superb second-half which saw them pull away from Meath in the last 10 minutes.

Meath had the lively Daithi Regan at corner-forward who knocked over five points but it wasn’t enough for a Meath win.
