Sheridan back on Mayo panel

Dead ball ace Maurice Sheridan has been recalled to the Mayo panel to solve their free-taking problems.

Mayo famously blew their big chance against Galway because of a lack of scoring prowess up front last year and new boss John Maughan has addressed the problem by returning Sheridan to the fold.

Sheridan said: "I'd always hoped to get back in but at 29 years old I was beginning to think that I wouldn't get the chance."
