Moran to boycott underage functions

Connacht council president Tommy Moran has revealed he'll stay away from all underage functions where alcohol is being served.

The newly installed official is disgusted at the apathy surrounding Ireland's drinking culture and feels the youth will be hit hardest.

He said: "I ask all our officers and delegates to support this stance and I would appeal to our County Board officials to take a similar attitude in their own counties."
