Sligo back down in NFL row

The Sligo county board has reportedly withdrawn their complaint against Kildare following their recent NFL clash.

Sligo initially alleged that Kildare failed to comply with match day regulations by submitting an incomplete team sheet to the referee.

However, Kildare responded with a counter appeal alleging that Sligo had fielded an ineligible player.

The matter now seems to be closed.
