Kildare recovered from last weekend's defeat to Cavan with a win over Sligo.

In truth they dominated the game, leading at the break 1-9 to 1-5 after Terry Rossiter found the net just before the whistle.

Gerry McGowan was the star for Sligo, scoring a goal and playing a major part in the county's late rally.
