Monaghan lodge protest

Monaghan county board chairman Gary Carville has lodged an official protest following the 11th hour cancellation of their NFL tie with Derry on Sunday.

Carville said: "There are regulations in place and it should have been sorted out earlier, the whole thing has seen us incur quite a lot of unnecessary expenditure and quite a deal of inconvenience."

The game will likely take place on February 23.
