Young Galway side overpower Donegal

Galway got their League campaign off to a flying start with a powerful display which proved far too much for a disappointing Donegal at Tuam Stadium.

John O'Mahony fielded six of his outstanding U-21 All-Ireland winning side and introduced three more before the finish as the team overall had a youthful look to it.

Young Michael Meehan, 18 last month, made a sparking senior debut and finished with 1-4 of the Galway total while Derek Savage and Kieran Comer also scored freely.
