Tompkins' selection causes a stir

Cork football boss Larry Tompkins has caused a stir by omitting five key players from his 2003 panel.

Former county heroes including Joe Kavanagh - scorer of a stunning goal in the 1999 All-Ireland final - and Philip Clifford have both been overlooked.

Also on the outside looking in are Ronan McCarthy, Michael O'Sullivan and Ciaran O'Sullivan, although the latter is expected to return in the coming months.
