Offaly star Dooley's future in the balance

Offaly star Johnny Dooley is facing a race against time to regain fitness ahead of the new season.

Dooley has had two operations on his left knee in the past seven months and his future is as yet unclear.

He said: "I'd love to come back. I haven't ruled it out, but I've been given fairly strong medical advice.

"I've been told that maybe it's time to look after my own interests so I'll have to wait and see."
