GPA to discuss possible merger

The Gaelic Players Association will discuss the possibility of a merger with the official Players' Committee at their upcoming AGM.

Only last April the GPA passed a vote of no confidence in the body headed up by former Armagh football star Jarlath Burns.

But GPA chief Dessie Farrell admitted ahead of the January 25 AGM in Dublin: "It will definitely be raised and seriously examined, but it will be entirely up to our membership to decide where to go from here."
