Down keen to join Walsh Cup action

Down GAA chiefs have confirmed they are interested in entering the county's senior hurlers in Leinster's Walsh Cup competition.

The only problem against Down joining the pre-season warm up competition is that the draw has already been made.

"We'll try to accommodate them if we can, but it might be logistically difficult," said Leinster secretary Michael Delaney. "Maybe Meath or Dublin will play a preliminary game."
