Mullins urges GAA to compensate players

Former Dublin midfielder Brian Mullins has urged the GAA to open its purse strings and financially compensate players.

He said: "I was fortunate to be around when it was purely an amateur sport and payment wasn't an issue, but things have changed and I believe the players should be paid.
