Donegal appoint caretaker management team

Donegal have appointed a three-pronged caretaker management team to lead the county into the National League.

Former boss PJ McGowan, Anthony Harkin, who trained the team to All-Ireland success in 1992, and Cathal Campbell have been handed the task of overseeing duties until a more permanent successor to Micky Moran is selected.

Michael Oliver McIntyre was favourite to take the post, but he turned down the offer last night. Former All-Ireland winners Martin McHugh and Declan Bonner, who has previously managed the county, have also been touted for the position.
