Sunday's Leinster club SFC quarter-final tie between Rathnew and UCD will be played in Newbridge - if Aughrim gets the red light for the second time in seven days.

The game was meant to go ahead last Sunday but after all the hold ups, Leinster chiefs are keen to finally get the tie out of the way.

As such they've revealed that St Conleth's Park, Newbridge will stage the game if Aughrim is waterlogged again.

"We will inspect Aughrim before lunch on Saturday and people will know by lunchtime on Saturday where the match will be played," said a Leinster council official.
