Heavy rain leads to football cancellations

Tomorrow's Dublin SFC final between UCD and St Vincent's at Parnell Park has been postponed because of the torrential rain in the capital.

As such Sunday's Leinster SFC date with Rathnew has been put back a week to Sunday November 24 in Aughrim.

The atrocious weather is threatening to put paid to several other provincial ties with the following venues all subject to pitch inspections tomorrow: O'Moore Park (Birr v St Mullin's, Leinster SHC), Wexford Park (Young Irelands v Rathnure, Leinster SHC), Dr Cullen Park (Rathvilly v Dunshaughlin, Leinster SFC).
