Dunloy win Ulster final - report
Dunloy 0-12 Portaferry 1--6
Played in atrocious conditions at Loughgiel, Antrim champions Dunloy collected the Ulster club hurling title for the seventh time since 1990.
In a closely fought match they defeated Down champions Portaferry.
After the teams were level three times in the opening 19 minutes, the winners led by six points to four at the break.
They increased that lead immediately on the restart with a point by Gregory O'Kane who notches seven scores in all.
However, Portaferry fought back for Noel Sands to scramble the ball into the Dunloy net on 45 minutes and level the match at 0-8 to 1-5.
It was Dunloy who responded positively for O'Kane to send over three points in a row from frees.
Martin Curry added another and the only reply for Portaferry was a late point from Stephen Murray.
