Cashin tipped for Offaly job

Offaly are expected to appoint yet another outside manager by naming Nicky Cashin as Fr Tom Fogarty's replacement in the senior hurling hotseat this week.

Cashin was an All-Ireland winner as recently as last month when he led the Kilkenny minors to final victory over Tipperary at Croke Park.

Familiar with club and county underage systems, he's now set to take the plunge as senior county boss in Offaly.

Cashin has already managed Castletown of Laois and Clara of Kilkenny as well as the Cats minors for the last two years.
