Ireland consoled by shinty win
Ireland 19 (2:0:13)
Scotland 15 (4:1:1)
Ireland secured their third shinty-hurling series win on the spin in impressive style at Croke Park.
Free-takes Mark O'Leary and Mark Keane led the way with 14 of their overall 19-point tally.
There was an early scare for Ireland as Scotland eased into a 6-2 lead after goals from Russell McKinlay.
But Ireland battled back to lead 13-8 at the break and four late converted frees from Limerick ace Keane handed them then victory despite two more Victor Smith goals.
