GAA 'will consider' Croker for Euro 2008

The GAA will consider any request by the Government for Croke Park to be added to the list of stadia on the joint Irish/Scottish Euro 2008 bid.

Director General Liam Mulvihill confirmed that the GAA would bring the matter before the Management Committee as well as Central Council.

But crucially the matter will not be brought before a sitting of the Special Congress later this month, the only body that can revise the rule.

GAA President Sean McCague said: "Our rules are not going to be revised this year."
