Matt Pavlich has put the Aussies right back in this International Rules test with the only goal of the game at Croke Park.

Pavlich seized on a Kieran McGeeney mistake to rifle home after 49 minutes of the third quarter - and Australia are right back in this first test.

Ireland led by double scores at half-time at 38-19 but now they only lead by two as the traditional third-quarter blues have set in for the home side.

Chris Johnson has emerged as the Aussie hero with seven points in the the quarter. 20 minutes to go and Ireland have it all to do.
