Moran set to be installed as Derry manager

Mickey Moran is expected to be installed for his second spell as Derry football manager within the next fortnight.

Moran left the position under acrimonious circumstances back in 1995 but has forged a successful career in the game since culminating in this year's march to the All-Ireland quarter-final with Donegal.

Derry chairman Ger O'Kane said: ³We'd be foolish not to talk to Mickey - the man has a lot of experience and is highly-respected throughout Ireland.

"And when he's on your doorstep and interested in the job, we'd need to be talking to him."
