Croke Park officials have confirmed that 30,000 tickets have already been snapped up for Sunday's opening International Rules test.

Ireland play Australia at the refurbished Jones Road venue and though attendances over the two tests were expected to be low, interest appears to be rising.

GAA PRO Danny Lynch said: "It's great to see people showing a big interest and hopefully that'll continue all the way up to Saturday night when the ticket offices close."
