McElkennon appointed Fermanagh coach

Fermanagh have appointed Martin McElkennon as their new senior football coach alongside current manager Dom Corrigan.

McElkennon spent years in the Derry backroom team and is being tipped as the figure to help Fermanagh out of the doldrums.

The Ernesiders showed genuine promise in recent years but were soundly beaten by Armagh and Kerry in Portlaoise in this year's championship.
