Dublin clubs to play Australia

A Dublin club selection managed by Frankie Roebuck and Tommy Brennan will take on Australia in an International Rules game on October 9.

The game, at Parnell Park, Donneycarney, will act as the warm up to the two-game series on October 13 and 20 between Ireland and Australia at Croke Park.

Roebuck appealed to clubs to release players and said: "I'm acutely aware of the difficulties some clubs may face vis-à-vis championship preparations - but there still should be enough players available."
