Derry to seek nominations for football job

The Derry County Board will send a circular around to all of its clubs by "late October" seeking nominations for a new football manager.

Eamonn Coleman quit back in July following their championship exit to Tyrone.

Ex Derry and Donegal boss Mickey Moran is in the frame for the position, but a Derry source said: "It's all speculation now. I'm sure Mickey's name will crop up when the nominations come back but that's a good bit down the road.

"We're in no hurry and right now we're preparing for the minor All-Ireland final against Meath."
