Wexford to discuss Dempsey's post

The Wexford County Board will meet on Thursday night to discuss Tony Dempsey's position as hurling manager.

Dempsey was voted into the Dail as a TD on a Fianna Fail ticket in the May General Election and has been double jobbing since.

Last season's All-Ireland semi-finalists, Wexford were beaten by Clare in the qualifiers this year.

It is believed attempts will be made to keep Dempsey on though he is keen to concentrate on his political career.
