O’Mahony to remain on as Galway boss
John O'Mahony has announced his intention to remain on as Galway senior football manager for a further three years.
Following this year's All Ireland quarter-final defeat to Kerry there was speculation that the double All-Ireland winner was planning to step down.
O'Mahony is grateful for the support he has received. "I said after the defeat to Kerry that everyone needs time to think, the encouragement that I have got is overwhelming and I have decided to give this another shot and I am looking forward to this now."
His selectors Peter Warren and Stephen Joyce also remain.
