Derry Co Board would 'love' to have Moran

The Derry County Board has admitted they'd love to have Mickey Moran back at the helm of the county football team.

Moran stepped down from the Donegal hot seat on Monday night and is tipped to make a quick return to management with the side he managed briefly in 1995.

Derry official Gerry Donnelly said: "Logistically Moran would be the ideal appointment if he was interested in the job.

"I'm sure some clubs in Derry will nominate Moran to succeed Eamon Coleman, then it's up to him to decide."
