Galway through to final after easy win over Wexford

Galway 1-20, Wexford 1-10 (full-time)

Galway face the winners of Limerick and Antrim in the U21 All-Ireland hurling final, having disposed of last year's finalists Wexford by 10 points at Thurles.

Midfielder Ger Farragher, a member of the Galway senior panel, scored 14 of his side's tally to take the Tribesmen to a win.

Galway went 0-07 to 0-01 ahead before Wexford got a goal through Rory Jacob and Barry Lambert added a second score.

Galway led by 0-11 to 1-02 at the break - eight of the Tribesmens' points coming from Farragher.

An early Adrian Cullinane goal in the second-half all but killed off Wexford.

Barry Lambert kept Wexford in touch, but a further six points from Farragher saw Galway run out easy winners in the end.

* Limerick play Antrim in the second semi-final tomorrow at 1pm at Parnell Park.

Limerick - who are going for three back-to-back titles, defeated Galway in the 2000 U21 final.
