Galway football club Killererin will have their case heard by the Connacht Council following their dismissal from the county Senior Football Championship.

The club refused to play extra time against Carraroe in a recent club game after the scores finished level at full-time.

They claimed they had not been informed that extra-time would take place and were under the impression that a replay was the next step.

Their appeal was thrown out by the Galway county board but will now be heard by the Connacht Council.

County regulars Padraig and Tommie Joyce as well as goalkeeper Alan Keane were all on duty for Killererin against Sean Og de Paor's Carraroe.
