Geraghty to switch sports

Former Meath footballer Graham Geraghty is to take up rugby on a trial basis for Athlone-based Buccaneers.

All-Ireland winning captain Geraghty added to the dark clouds gathering over Meath football by announcing his decision to quit after defeat to Donegal in the qualifiers last month.

The 28-year-old Senchalstown man has also represented Ireland in the Comprised Rules series against Australia.
