Boss Cyril Lyons and his selectors have resisted the temptation to alter a winning starting 15 after beating 2001 All-Ireland finalists Galway last time out.

Lyons makes just one internal switch with Markham moving into the central role from top of the left and Tony Carmody, with just 0-1 from the full-forward position against Galway, going in the opposite direction.

Two time All-Ireland winner Ollie Baker starts on the bench again despite impressing as a substitute against the Tribesmen.

Clare: D Fitzgerald; B Quinn, B Lohan, F Lohan; D Hoey, S McMahon, G Quinn; J Reddan, C Lynch; J O'Connor, T Griffin, N Gilligan; D Forde, A Markham, T Carmody.
