Waterford captain Fergal Hartley has declared himself fit for this weekend’s All-Ireland hurling semi-final against Clare.

Hartley has not trained for the last week and also sat out a recent friendly game against Antrim.

Meanwhile there is speculation that Dave Bennett could be named in the Waterford midfield for Sunday’s semi-final.

The Lismore man came on as a substitute during the county’s Munster final victory over Tipperary and is now expected to partner Tony Browne in midfield this weekend.
