This will be the 15th championship clash between the counties with the score standing at 7-5 to Kerry with two draws.

They last met in the 2000 All-Ireland final when it took a replay to separate them, as Kerry emerged as winners.

Their last clash in an All-Ireland semi-final was in 1984 when Kerry won easily.
