O’Dwyer may stay on as Kildare boss

Reports today suggest that Kildare boss Mick O'Dwyer could be persuaded to remain on as manager of the Kildare Senior Football panel for another year.

The 66-year-old Kerryman announced last autumn that 2002 would be his final year in inter-county management and next Saturday's All-Ireland qualifier against his native county has been billed as a potential last hurrah for the most successful manager in GAA history.
