GAA commemorates centenary of first patron's death
A massive commemoration of the centenary anniversary of the death of the first Patron of the GAA, Archbishop Thomas Croke is taking place this evening in Thurles, the birthplace of the Association.
GAA President Sean McCague will be in attendance at the event which has been organised by
the current patron Archbishop Dermot Clifford, Archbishop of Cashel and Emly.
There will be a parade of all the clubs of Tipperary to the Croke Memorial in Liberty Square which will be followed by a special Mass in the Cathedral of the Assumption and a lecture afterwards in St Patrick's College, Thurles.
