Galway through as Rebels trounced

Galway stormed into the quarter-final of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship with a convincing nine-point victory over Cork at Semple Stadium.
Galway led by 0-05 to 0-02 after 20 minutes. However, Cork rallied with a Joe Deane goal five minutes before the break - levelling affairs.
Last year's beaten All-Ireland finalists Galway, were a much-improved side during the second half.
Sharp shooter Eugene Cloonan contributed nine points in all as Galway ran out easy winners.
Cork's cause was not helped by the dismissal of wing-forward Timmy McCarthy in the 20th minute of the second-half.
Corner-forward Fergal Healey, flying half-forward Kevin Broderick and midfielder David Tierney contributed handsomely to the Connacht side's win.
