Mayo come from behind to beat Limerick
Mayo 0-13, Limerick 1-09 (result)
Mayo were given a big fright by unfancied Limerick before advancing to the All-Ireland quarter final with a one-point win at Dr Hyde Park in Roscommon.
Despite scoring the first four points of the match, Mayo found themselves trailing by 1-05 to 0-05 at the break.
The Limerick goal came four minutes from the break from full-forward Jason Stokes.
However, Mayo rallied after the interval with substitute Colm McManaman taking two fine points to bring the Connacht side level.
Late points from a James Gill free and substitute David Brady put Mayo 0-13 to 1-08 ahead.
Micheal Reidy's injury-time free for Limerick left just a point between the sides but Mayo held out for a narrow victory.
