Limerick 3-9 Offaly 2-7 - match report
Limerick produced their second sensation of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers with a shock five point victory over Offaly at the Gaelic Grounds.
Limerick got off to the best possible start with goals from Pat Ahern and Micheal Reidy inside the first four minutes.
Limerick led by 2-4 to 0-3 at half-time and built on their advantage after the restart. A third goal from Stephen Kelly five minutes from time set the seal on a famous Limerick victory.
Two late goals from Offaly's Neville Coughlan and John Grennan flattered the Offaly men at the end.
