Farrell to miss Meath clash
Dublin forward Dessie Farrell will miss his side’s Leinster football semi-final meeting with Meath on Sunday after failing a fitness test last night.
The former All-Star is still nursing an ankle injury he picked up against Wexford last month.
Farrell’s place at full-forward will be filled by Ray Cosgrove, with John McNally making his championship debut in Cosgrove’s usual left corner-forward position.
Meath, meanwhile, are expected to name their team after training tonight.
