Tipp hurlers fighting to be fit

Tipperary senior hurlers John Carroll and Mark O¹Leary are fighting to be fit for the Munster semi-final clash with Limerick on Sunday week.

Carroll missed the clash with Clare last weekend with a knee injury and has been on an intensive recovery programme since while O¹Leary, who came on in the game, is not yet fully right having suffered an ankle injury in training some weeks ago.

The fitness of both players will be assessed at a training session this evening, but there is no chance of Allstar Eddie Enright or corner back Paul Ormonde being fit for the Limerick game.

Lar Corbett also picked up a knock from Clare but it is not a serious injury.

Manager Nicky English will be hoping for a clean bill of health from the rest of his players when they resume training this evening in Thurles.
