Louth romp past Longford

Rampant Louth made no mistake at the second attempt to book a Leinster SFC quarter final meeting with Kildare in two weeks.
Boosted by a third minute Mark Stansfield penalty goal, the winners with wind advantage led 1 10 0 8 at the break.
Within two minutes of the restart Olan McDonnell scored the second Louth goal and there was no way back for a disappointing Longford after that.
David Reilly completed the rout when fisting to the net for Louth’s third goal in the 57th minute.
Both sides finished with 13 men, Mark Stansfield for Louth and David Blessington for Longford, both sent off in the last quarter.
